hi
im trying to install a scanner for someone in win 95,i have got the driver and unzipped it to the desktop but from here on im stuck.the scanner is on a parallal port and as far as i can work out is not recognised? im sure there are some how to's on the net but i cant find one and ive never used 95 so im lost(to help the operating system is in spanish,so as a cockney im strugling,but this is a tiny village and win 95 seems to be the norm here)

try..add new hardware...imaging device..when asked for drivers, click..have disk, and point it to directory that the drivers are in, its a long time since i used 95 but should work.

cheers but imaging device wasnt in the list,do i have to add it from the win 95 cd?

Use Have Disk button.

It'd sure be easier if you tell the make/model of the scanner.

hi,the scanner is a scantak sf-600c.
i checked in add new hardware and there is no option to add an imaging device.

Then use the Other Devices and the Have Disk button.

install the scanner driver before you attach the scanner to yer pooter. then switch off pooter and connect scanner. restart pooterr and the scanner will be picked up and the driver should be found........
