You can probably get a USB steering wheel, I know there are USB joysticks.
Alternatively you can get a USB - gameport adaptor or a pci gameport card.

I thought all PC's have a joy stick port on the sound card, or on the mobo if integrated sound.

At the very least, it should have a game port!

All my pc's from 386 up have one!

Many boards only come with game port header on the mobo and it's up to the users to buy their own cable/bracket. Maybe mobo manufacturers figure out that consumers quite often disable the low-qual on-board sound and use their own soundcards (with built-in game port, of course) instead.

Mobos with no on-board sound of course don't have the game port.

I guess again it depends on the mobo.

My IBM Netvista has onboard and a game port, and so does my friends Tekram mobo.

Anyway, the moral of the story, check the mobo deatails.

Yep, it depends on the mobos. That's the reason why more and more newer mobo models don't have a game port but only a header on the mobo even though the mobo has built-in sound. That works for both sides, mobo makers can cut costs, serious consumers just don't care much 'bout their on-board sound and gears.

Guy's im confused as you lot, worse thing is, that it both my pc and my borther that dont have a joystick port (ones a dell other a compaq) that why i was hoping for some type of convertor.

will look at Richskie idea of a usb- gameport adaptor or a pci gameport card.

You can buy USB joystick/gamepad.

If your computer doesn't have soundcard, get one. 99% of soundcards go with a game port.
