I rellay have tried everything now!
I have burned the "k-1 world grand prix"(dvd rip) game from a .bin thats according to internet is ok. The burning is ok (no error messages), i'v tried cd-r fuji, tdk, verbatim, i have tried dvd+r, dvd+rw (fuji, vebatim). I'v tried nero, cdrwin...and yesterday when i put in the dvd+r (didnt boot from it, started it from browser menu) it said "playstation 2 disc" and then no data and then please put in a ps2 or psx disc. The nfo says that it should be burnt to a dvd. But i can burn it on a cd-r without anay burning problems.
I can start the japanes version on a cd-r so i guess that it is'nt the mod chip? Can the rip tell the ps2 that it should be on a dvd-r???

Buy the way i have a brand new v8 with matrix mxl...Is this a bad chip? According to research i did when i bougt it it should be very fine?

Thanks for help!

Well a big part of it could be that you are using + format for DVD. A quality DVD-R disc is really your best bet with a PS2. If you don't have a dual format burner (- and +) you can pick up the Pioneer 106 for pretty cheap now. $165 shipped from www.allmediaoutlet.com and I'm sure you could get some decent $ for your + format only drive on ebay.

but his new V8 laser is designed to read recordable disc. even my friends' V3, V5 and V7 can read +r without any problem.

Why trust a game you downloaded? There isn't anyway for us to verify that it's functional.

That is what has been ripped. It is a dvd-rip, meaning stuff is missing that should be there. Rips are always iffy and they always make a gawd awful sound when loading, find a dvdr version and watch your troubles disapear.
or
If you still wanna try playing rips you should try finding the release groups "hangout" and find out what is wrong from the source.

With a reliable Mod-chip (Messiah 2 definitely) , you'll have NO problems at all playing any type of PS2 backup.

Don't matter if it's a DVD-Rip, DVD-ISO, Silver or DVD-9, my V7 has played every game i've tried (around 300+ sofar including over 250+ DVD-rips/CD-based games)

Never heard of your Mod-chip so can't really say if it's good or not.
