Matrix_581 Oct 01, 2003, 03:07 PM Im in the UK. :) nimbles Oct 01, 2003, 03:19 PM www.blankdiscshop.co.uk www.digitalpromo.co.uk www.wcwmedia.co.uk or if you are really desparate www.****************** but i'd go with blankdiscshop- as cheap as the others although it isn't always about just price- their service is great as well Matrix_581 Oct 01, 2003, 03:23 PM okay thanks. whats www.******* ? nimbles Oct 01, 2003, 03:43 PM big pockets- after their shenanigans i'm not surprised its a swear word!! :D jesterrace777 Oct 01, 2003, 04:23 PM Hey at least you can buy cars for them. Only 12,000 pounds. . . . . . . . . . with the stearing wheel as an optional feature. richjon Oct 01, 2003, 04:31 PM http://www.ukdvdr.co.uk/acatalog/copy_of_DVD_R.html, hard to beat this one , including next day delivery and vat , the price it shows is the price you pay, 94p per disc, on orders over 250 pounds. jesterrace777 Oct 02, 2003, 02:05 AM Yeah but you have to spend 250 pounds in order to get that deal. That's quite spendy unless you are going through TONS of discs. I could buy two Pioneer 106 drives for less than that. lynxcds Oct 02, 2003, 04:29 AM www.xsct.co.uk jesterrace777 Oct 02, 2003, 01:19 PM I'm still curious as to why they have that message underneath that says "Tax and Shipping not included in the cost" though. If it included VAT why would they have that message at the bottom of each on of thier pages? lynxcds Oct 02, 2003, 03:10 PM it only appears on 1 page, I just checked. you took an order to the check out, did the order total increase by 17.5% ? NO and at the top of each sub section, it say's price includes VAT. jesterrace777 Oct 02, 2003, 09:01 PM Okay. My bad. Matrix_581 Oct 07, 2003, 01:32 PM right and which are the best ones? lots of them say ritek/ritek dye jesterrace777 Oct 07, 2003, 02:42 PM The unbranded Riteks, Ridata and Traxdata are your best bets. Just steer clear of the so-called "Ritek" dye Datawrite/Datasafe discs. Both of those labels are shite (then again what would you expect from the Bulqpaq label). Matrix_581 Oct 07, 2003, 03:38 PM Didnt datasafe make amazing CDs? jesterrace777 Oct 08, 2003, 03:34 AM Datasafe CDs are still supposed to be pretty decent but for some reason they can't consistantly make a good quality DVD Recordable to save thier lives. My guess is that they keep changing out dyes to go with whatever is cheapest at the time of production. If a decent quality dye is available at a cheap price during the production of a batch of discs then you will end up with decent media, if there is a crappy dye that is the cheapest at the time then you will end up with crappy media. I'm just guessing here but that's the only reason I can find behind thier erratic DVD-R reliability. Indiana Jones Oct 08, 2003, 10:04 AM http://www.xscomputertechnology.freeserve.co.uk/ Cant go wrong with them, only 88p per disc for the Ridata 4x Ritek, cheapest I have ever seen anywhere and great customer service, I ordered a pack of 50 Ridata but he didnt have any so sent me the more expensive unbranded whitetops for the same price. geobon Oct 08, 2003, 03:51 PM If your in the UK best sticking to SVP aka blankdiscshop, Although i have to disagree with jester with the datasafe logo although i do agree with him on the datawrite one and i know they are the same company but any disc brandishing the letters datawrite steers well clear of, After mixed opinions on these i done a little homework for myself and the results are anything brandishing the datasafe only logo is Grade A, where as anything brandishing the Datawrite logo is grade B, Id also like to point out that the silver ritek unbranded are also datasafe disks Right down to the serial no. on the spindle, (Bought a box of 600 and the original box clearly states datasafe media) Peeps may disagree but when ordering discs buy 10 of the ritek 2x Datasafes (White/Silver) tops and try them you wont be dissapointed esspecially at 67p each. |
