hi,
i just bought another sony u14 and a lite on dvd-rom and was gonna do on the fly copying. how does this set up look?

ide1= master: wd120 hd slave: lite-on 16x dvd-rom
ide2= master: slave: sony u14 4x dvd-rw

correct me in any way guys. i also have 2 160gb hd on a promise card. i was going to have another wd120 hd as master on ide2, but im gonna throw that in my xbox. feel free to list other methods of hooking up on the fly burning.

Only way to know is to try it, I noticed you didn't give your computer specs, so try it & see.

Correct me if im wrong but why have you got your writer as a slave on ide2 or is it just the way you've written it.

Me myself id have both reader and writer on ide2 with the writer being the master.

Yeah .... definitely have the burner as the master on IDE 2
