Wanting to overclock my comp, but need to know all the specs- what program will let me do this.

Need to know what mobo i have to find out whether it can be overclocked- it's a dell P4 1.5ghz.

Ne idea how high it can be clocked or where to get some good guides/software etc.

Thanks F.

Dell & overclocking - Forget it.

Sorry m8!

A good proggy for system specs is SiSoft SANDRA. Another would be AIDA32.

AMD Processors are not very good to overclock, I have seen pentium 4 chips overclocked to over 3.4G

It all depends on the quality of your ram and what speed its rated to,

I run Consair XMS PC2700, this ram is rated to 333mhz, i have mine running and 363mhz and its stable!

If your serious about overclocking get some **** hot ram like PC4000 or higher

Read up on Vcore And Vdimm Voltages,

if your going to adjust these vaules be very careful as your proberly cook your processor and ram.

I also recommend upgrading your Processor fan, As AMD's run pretty high and with overclocking, it might take it over the edge,

I hope theres some usefull info here for you,
cheers
