Some recent films i am trying to copy are coming up with this message when using Decrypter

"the slower Brute force VOBDec/DeCSSPlus cracking methods will be used instead of I/O Key Exchange"

Visit http://www.firmware-flash.com for Region Free (RPC Phase I) Firmware.

When I try to download the update the page is not found...

anyone any ideas???

Check your system for trojans and worms. That message just doesn't look right. DVD Decryptor is hardware independent, why would it recommend you flash your DVD-ROM?

Uninstall DVD Decryptor, clean your registry with something like Regclean then install the latest DVD Decryptor: http://www.dvddecrypter.com/

I disagree, I would think that DVD Decrypter still needs a region free DVDRom or at least the region of the disc set for the drive.

Sounds like you are trying to rip say a R1 disc with a R2 drive.

It is a region 1 disk, whats the best way to sort out this problem?

Get DVD Region Free, will allow you to rip any region dvd in your drive.

For a Lite-On you don't need a firmware, you can just use the RPC util.
