I use OutlookXP for my email. Me and my girlfriend have an account. I wanted to know if there was a way to seperate our email when we check it. I want to check just my email when I click send/receive - and for her email to go in her own folder. Either have the seperate emails to me and her go into different folders - OR - for just my emails to come when I click send/receive or HER email to come when SHE clicks send/receive.

More often than not I get more email than her and I check my email more often, so if she gets an email , a lot of times it gets sent towards the bottom and she misses it.

Thanks

I believe you are referring to Outlook Express. The easiest way would be to just set up another identity for her and switch back and forth between them to check mail. Then all the mail will be separate.

Go to File/Identities/Add New Identity. Name it, click Ok, then set up her mail accounts. You will need to go to file/switch identities to switch back and forth. However everytime you switch, Outlook Express will be closed and reopened, so you will need to save anything you are working on.

On the Tools menu, click Rules Wizard, then click the New button. Click Start from a blank rule and ensure that Check messages when they arrive is highlighted. Click Next. Under which condititons, check "through the specified account". Highlight "specified" in the rule description box and rename it to her mail account. Click Next. When prompted for what to do with the message, check the box to move it to the specified folder. In the rule description section, click the link for specified folder. Click the New button to create a new folder, then name it, ect.
