Outlook Express seems to be running fine, i can receive messages no problem, and apparently send them ok. The problem is, they don't actually go anywhere. They come up as sent, go into the sent items folder, but no-one receives them.
Hotmail running through outlook express works fine, i have reinstalled outlook express, after removing it and all its files/registry entries.
My ISP says that there is no fault at their end.
Please help, it's important that i get this working!!

Hi Mike_Oz,
Bit of a strange problem I admit......
Easy test for you. Send an email to yourself. If you don't receive it, and have no forwarding setup on your mail account, have no rules in OE blocking the sending of all email, have done a full virus check, then your ISP has a problem.
Get them to prove they don't.

I don't get e-mails if i send them to myself - that is how i am checking if it is working!
No blocking or forwarding etc. and ISP says no problems at their end.
Done a full scan with an up to date norton 2003.
Thanks for the reply!!

Sorry, but can't see how you have accepted there is no problem at the ISP end. The only other way you could test really is by using either another PC with your mail account setup on it or by using Telnet on your PC, so as to prove it is not your client.

Hmm... very strange indeed. Have you tried by removing your exsisting account configuration. Close OE. Start again and then reconfiguring all the settings again?

Have not accepted that there is no problem at their end - just want to get my e-mail system working again!
