Hi, this is my problem. I'm trying to connect to my xbox for the first time since using my router. My IP address assigned by the DHCP is 192.168.0.1 and my subnet mask is 255.255.255.0 and the gateway is is the same as the IP address. When I turn on my xbox, next to the word type, it says DHCP and underneath that, it gives me the IP addy of 192.168.0.101 What should I set everything to make it work. Also, I'm using the same crossover cable I've always used before I got the router. Is there a problem with using crossover cables and routers? I'm doing everything I thought was right and I can't connect. Can someone help please, thanks in advance.

the crossover cable was your problem tho in the first place. with dhcp and a router, crossover cables tend to make things not work.. good ol' cat5e is all ya need. :D
