Bought a copy of someone on the forum and it freezes after a couple of minutes. Is it protected or could I get a m8 to copy it on different media and maybe get it working.
Thanks

hearts Oct 12, 2003, 04:33 PM Bought a copy of someone on the forum and it freezes after a couple of minutes. Is it protected or could I get a m8 to copy it on different media and maybe get it working. Thanks hearts Oct 13, 2003, 09:46 AM does anyone know the answer to this? Devil-Man Oct 13, 2003, 07:52 PM your question can't help us answer it. what media? what drive in the xbox? what dash you using? what chip/bios? need this kind of info on a question like that. hearts Oct 14, 2003, 05:00 AM "your question can't help us answer it". "Is it protected" That looks plain enough to me m8.! Devil-Man Oct 14, 2003, 06:52 AM not in the world of xbox modding. :) pepsik Oct 14, 2003, 11:46 AM Technically all xbox games are protected. After a certain time period M$ implemented it, groups hacked it and made a dash that can overcome the protection. So your answer is yes it is protected. hearts Oct 14, 2003, 12:00 PM Thank you pepski. I wated a disc in the meantime copying the bugger only to find this one stops at exactly the same place. I wish these people that sell them would make sure they worked before sending them. mickandthebadbo Oct 14, 2003, 06:53 PM what chip have you what BIOS have you some of the newer games require the new BIOSes to work ie something like 4977/4976.02 so try up date your BIOS and it should solve your problem Devil-Man Oct 14, 2003, 06:58 PM which was MY question to hearts from the get. WHAT ARE YOU RUNNING!? that will help narrow the problem and rule out dodgy burns/media. hearts Oct 15, 2003, 04:09 AM Lads unlike yourselves to me its just a games machine. I just checked where I bought it from I think its an Executer 2.2 pro. How would I go about flashing the bios? Sorry I know nowt'. Thanks for any help tho. Devil-Man Oct 15, 2003, 06:57 AM ok now we're getting somewhere. if it's an x2.2 pro then there will be a printer type port on the back of the machine. you would link that to the lpt port on your pc and flash that way. www.xbox-scene.com and go to modchips and find the flashing instructions for it. really easy. if it isn't a 2.2 pro then evox will be your flash utility of choice, also lots of tutorials on this as well. sorry i can't be more descriptive it's work time :) hearts Oct 15, 2003, 08:31 AM Thanks Devil-Man that should be enogh to get me done. Devil-Man Oct 15, 2003, 09:59 PM i hope it is  but if it isn't you know where to come :D |
