I finally got Project Gothem Racing and copied it to my HDD, I run it but it stays on a black screen ? ANyone got any idea why, Ihave not encounted a game yet that dont work, new and old.
Please help as I am dieing to play this game.

redwolf Oct 13, 2003, 08:19 PM how did you get the game to the HD? e.g. i use FlashFXP but files with long file name don't get transferred/copied to the HD...
jackss Oct 13, 2003, 08:50 PM I have all files straight of another xbox hdd burnt onto dvd. I put dvd with files on it in PC and I ftp up using Cute Ftp. I always do my games usually with no probs, this is the 1st game that I have had a problem with.

Slomar Oct 13, 2003, 08:58 PM Are you running an exploit? For some reason the xbins release of Phoenix bios loader will freeze with a couple games like project gotham and the matrix. There's a fix at the phoenix bios loader forum.
jackss Oct 13, 2003, 09:24 PM No I am not running an xploit, I am using Xecuter II, like said b4 all games I have on hdd work with no prob,new and old. Strange.
gutted as its supposeto be quite a good game.

that was like the 2nd game i bought for xbox. it sucked royal and sold it for more than i had in it :)

Maybe I should try copying to pc hdd instead of ftping directly from dvd ?

Memphis Oct 14, 2003, 08:11 AM Personally I loved the game however I guess it does require a passion for driving games but anyways, either try copying it again from a different source CD or (And Devil-Man will get on at me again for this :p) but try using Px HDD Loader or even BoXplorer to do the copy on your Xbox, rather than using your PC as a 'middle-man'.

Memphis Oct 14, 2003, 03:19 PM If your PC can read the actual files on the disk, then the burn didn't go correctly. A PC DVD drive should see nothing on an Xbox format 'backup'.

Marko69 Oct 15, 2003, 04:57 AM I had exactly the sme problem, the game worked fine when running from dvdr, but when i copied it to my hdd it simply froze, at one point i managed to start a race but that was asa far as i got before it froze up again, in the end i gave up

I have x-ecuter 2.2lite, I ripped Project Gotham (pal) origonal via flashfxp and xiso, and burnt back to memorex DVD+R
Now the weird thing is I tested it after burning, and it worked fine, but now a couple of days later, no-go.
EvoX dash recognizes the disc as a 'GAME' but when I launch it, it just hangs on a black screen. Same if I boot up with the game in the drive.....
Its Almost as if it cant find the codec to play the intro or something.... I dunno tbh, its just very weird.
Any Ideas peeps?
rikkuotaku Nov 30, 2003, 02:27 PM I just d/l PG2 and FTPd it to my XBOX HDD. I patched all the .xbe's with Craxtion and now I get the following error:
"Your disc maybe dirty or damaged."
What could be wrong? Should I try the ftp transfer again?
