Memphis Oct 14, 2003, 03:11 PM Well, any microphone/headphone combo works so long as it has a 2.5mm jack. You will find a lot of people use mobile phone hands-free kits as they have a 2.5mm jack on them. For those interested, you can also let your guests talk this way. All you need is a 2.5mm doubler and a mobile phone headset. Put the doubler into the Live dongle and connect both your Live headset and the mobile headset to the splitter. When your guest speaks, it will show up as you, but this way you can both listen to the chatter. Encript Oct 14, 2003, 03:29 PM Sounds cool but most cell phone ear pieces are 2.5 where as the xbox com. is 3.5 am i correct. That means i need to buy a 3.5 to 2.5 dongle have you tried this Memphis. Memphis Oct 14, 2003, 04:43 PM No, they are 2.5mm which the Live dongle is as well. I have tried it, depending on what doubler you use (If you want to use the Live headset and the mobile one at the same time) you may encounter some volume loss but it shouldn't be too bad. If you just want to straight swap the Live headset with a mobile one, just plug it in! (I actually used my Live headset on my mobile... which was cool... in a g33k kinda way! :p) Encript Oct 14, 2003, 05:36 PM Im looking for something really cool looking have you seen a cool looking headset. |
