I got my Messiah 2 put in and a new laser. I plays dvdr games perfectlly good. BUT it doesnt play PS1 backups or DVDR movies at all. It reads the PS1 games as PS2 blue disks but wont load them. Can anyone tell me whats goin on??

I think you need to boot up your ps1 games in a certain way. I forgot...it might be just put the disc inside the tray and let your ps2 be in stand by mode. Than press the restart botton and hold it for about 7 seconds than the game should boot. I think that how you do it.

Boot Mode for F.14

F.14 has 3 Boot Modes:
PS2, PSX/DVD Video Modes & Sleep Mode
- For PS2 Games, use PS2 Mode (Default)
- For PSX Games and DVD Videos, use PSX Mode. (Press and hold reset until blue light - release then tap again once)
- For Online Games use Sleep Mode
