Ok, I have a couple of games for ps1, all are bin and cue.
I burned them using Alcohol120%, succesfully.
But when I try them in my ps one they won't work.

I have a ps one with an old chip from my first ps wich I transferred.
I put in a switch to switch between original and copy. (originals wouldn't work in ps one otherwise with the old chip)
All the games I already had copied worked fine.

But these I downloaded and burned somehow don't :(
When I set to original, it asks to insert a valid ps game.
When I set to copy, it won't detect the game and goes to the cd/memory card screen.

I'd try it in my PS2 but it doesn't have a chip.

I hope someone can help me with this one.

PS: I tried as backup and as playstation 1 when burning in alcohol120%

Try with CDRWin (Goldenhawk), bin/cue is their proprietary format.

All PS1 games are Mode 2 Data. Disc at Once, finalize disc.

Also the chip might be different.
If you could provide the following info, I could probably help you out:

- Your region(USA, Europe, Japan, etc)
- Model # of the old PSX the chip was pulled from. & # of wires on the chip
(or the name of the chip or a link to where it came from.)

If it was a 7 or 4 wire chip, it should work.
If it was an 8 wire chip it won't work.

Yeah... Mode2, Disc at Once, Finalize disc - couldn't have said it better.

I had that problem for years without knowing how to burn a PSX ISO :(

Thx for the replies :D

I wouldn't know what chip it is anymore.
It's been so long since I got it.
I can't even tell you what model my old ps was (it was the new one, not the old)
I believe 7 wires, but I'm totally not sure.

Region is Europe, Belgium

Could you also tell me for what program that is?

I don't see mode2, disc at once or finalize disc anywhere

I'm not 100% sure since you are in Europe, I'm used to USA machines.
But, most likely you have a Multi-mode 2 or 3 chip.
The MM3 will work on PS1(at least USA versions) in either 4 wire mode(no antimod game support) or 6 wire mode(all game support).

Alright go into Nero...

Click File, then go to 'Burn Image'

choose the file you want, then it will bring you to a menu.

Enter Mode2, RAW, 2352 and you're away

Not Nero, the damn thing doens't work. if you ask me it doens't even detect my writer. it just makes ISO's no matter what I ask it to do...

Well i finally got that stupid nero program to detect my burner.
same result though, I don't know why anyone even likes Nero, the program is plain bad if you ask me.
Any other suggestions?
