Just wondering, w/c playstation is the easiest to mod with an internal? taking everything into account-- size of soldering points, location of them, etc. Thanks...

They are pretty much the same, the 1*** & the 5*** series have slightly bigger soldering points but you have to take out the motherboard completley to chip it, The 7*** & the 9*** series can be done in situ but the soldering points are smaller, You can also adapt the 7*** & 9*** series to play ntsc & pal with out the need of a patch or scarth cable. I agree The 1001 cant handle realtime video very well if it anyway worn

the psOne i heard is hard to mod because all the solder points are so small but its got the best laser

7001 is the toughest because you have to solder to 2 chip pins. 5501 is probably the the easiest followed by the 7501. The 9001 and PSone are about the same just 2 less wires on the PSone. Don't wast your time on a 1001:( I have one thats been going strong for 5 years but most are crap. Just my 2 cents worth:)
