I have re-formatted a 6gig hard drive, when installing an original windows 98 se disc,
it tells me there is a system registry checker problem everytime i install some software or drivers etc
ne1 got any ideas, i think the hard drive is pooped but not sure,

More than HDD, I would suspect for RAM. Better way is to copy the Win9x folder onto ur HDD and re-run setup on the top of existing one.

you say when installing win98se it tells u theres problems... did you manage to install the win98 without any problems or u had problems instlaling other progs after the win98 was installed?

had a prob installing it on a pc
and it is an original win98se
could it be that i need to install windows 95 then upgrade 2 98se
still unsure what to do
every install it tells me there is a registry error so goes into registry checker mode just before the win98se has installed
