hi,
ive got a 2.2ghz HP Pavilion running on XP and a crappy 130Mhz running on 98 and i was wondering if there was a way of linking these two computers together so they could both run on the internet (56kbs dial-up)
if possible, what do i need and how do i do it????????:hdspin:

you need to use one pooter as the main pooter and connect the other pooter to it using network cards.

A network card on each & a crossover network cable.
Basically you need to enable internet connection sharing on the pc with the connection & set the other pc to use the lan for the internet.

Make the XP machine the host system and the Win98 the client. Make sure you turn the XP Firewall on for only the modem and turn it off for the NIC. Use only TCP/IP for the protocol and you should do OK.
