Allright… Kazaa...what about it? It seems like the more users i´m having to download something, the lower the speed gets.

Example:

I started a download, getting somewhat sharing 5 users, download speed is 14kb/s. When the user count runs up to, somewhat 16, download speed decreases to a sloggy 5kb/s. What the…? Are user counts affecting download speed?

And what about this little plugin called “Speed Up”? Looks nice, but I do not really understand its means and functioning, and as far as I played with it, it is doing nothing at all…

Speed up is quite handy. If you have stuff queued it keeps refreshing and trying to make the connection thus increasing the chances of your d/l occuring.

It also clears downloads/uploads that have completed.

You only have so much bandwidth to play with on your connection. Thus the more downloads you have going the less speed you will get on each, though if maxed out the total should be the same. Same goes for uploads, and if alot of people are grabbing off of you it may well slow you down.

The more users there are that have the file you want, the more chance there is of you getting it, as kazaa can make a conenction with any of these people to get the file.

Hope this is of help
