when I used the new firmware 1.07 hacked or not hacked on my "pioneer 106D" it keeps crashing with software like pinnacle instant copy 8 and also record nowmax, (it can crash at anywhere from 2% to 80%) it is set for Ultra DMA 2 in device manager, but still crashes, but if I used the official 1.06 firmware everything is fine, I have wasted quite the few discs now! do anyone know what the problem could be, or is anyone else having the same problem?

""but if I used the official 1.06 firmware everything is fine""

I guess you've solved your own problem here. Surely the above statement says it all.
If 1.07 doesn't work, don't use it!!!!

1.05 works fine as well.

I've been recording all night now with firmware 1.07 and all as being ok so far since i removed "pinnacle instant copy 8", and reinstalled record now Max and Nero!
