How can i convert my 8mm tapes to dvd so that I can watch them on my dvdplayer? I'm assuming I would need a video capture card or some really good videocard right? What works good? That dazzle thing?? I don't remember if that is what its called. Software? I don't have much of a clue on how this would work.

Get a video card with AV in capabilities. It should come with some sort of recording program. Run cables out of your camera's AV out ports and into the card AV in ports. Use your recording program to record your tapes. Set your recording characteristics to 720 x 480 res...for NTSC...I don't know the settings for PAL. Chances are that your recording program will create MPEG or AVI files. Once you have all the movies that you want, use a program such as Ulead to create DVD files and then use a burning program such as Nero to burn your DVD. There may be an easier way to do this but this is the method that I use. Good luck!
