Ok I'm trying to combine 3 workout DVD's onto a single DVD for my wife. I own all three so I read them in Decrypter, then shrank with DVD Shrink.

So now I have three VIDEO_TS folders each around 1.3 gig. So using Recordmax how do I put these onto 1 DVD-R ?

Will it work on a standalone DVD Player if there are three VIDEO_TS Folders?

DO I need to copy the contents of two VIDEO_TS folders and put into the third. (so there is only 1 VIDEO_TS )??

Thanks I'm new at this and trying to learn....

The newest version of dvd2one has a "join" function which will let you merge 3 seperate dvd's onto one dvd-r but as i understand it they will be 3 "movies" apended one after the other, there won't be even a simple menu for ou to choose between the three.

I'm also looking for something like this if anyone has got a better solution- but i fear the answer is gonna be a full reauthoring of the 3 source videos

If you still want to use DVDShrink, then you will need to use its reauthor function.

You could also take what you already have and then re-author them using a seperate authoring app.

Druid,
So do I open DVDShrink, chooose 'open files', then pull in my three VIDEO_TS folders?
I thought DVDshrink will only open 1 VIDEO_TS file at a time.

Basically I need to end up with only 1 VIDEO_TS folder when I burn it to a disc using Recordmaxnow right?

oh yeah u could do the dvdshrink route as well but again you will be left with 3 "movies" that play consecutively

e.g. if your wife wants to the last excercise dvd i think she has to skip through all the chapters of the first 2 dvd's assuming they chapters have been kept in tact

Try DVD-Lab!!!

You can create a menu and add the .vob files from the 3 VIDEO_TS folders as the movies. then re-compile the dvd to one VIDEO_TS folder.
This is the BEST re-autoring program I've used... I gotta give props to Indiana Jones for bringing this program to my attention..

Reauthoring is the answer if you want menus but as already said you can use dvd-shrink to combine the three. There is a tutorial (I think on the Shrink site) which you can also find with google. The latest beta version doesn't quite work the same way but you'll figure out how to do it with a bit of fiddling.
