hi guys need some info can you all help being new to dvd writers ect have mananged to burn a dvd using dvd shrink and burnt it using img but find it only plays on the computer and not my stand alone dvd recorder which says unknown data very frustrated nearly there but oh so far away using liteonitdvd writer any ideas would be useful

Are you using +R media because I believe a lot of standalone dvd players don't them.
You can check on vcdhelp.com to see what your player will play, if its listed.

What brand of media are you using. Again players can be picky on brand of disk aswell.

It could simply be the brand of media. Some DVD Players are media picky. Stick to quality brands such as Ritek, Verbatim or Fujifilm for best results.

thanks guys have managed to sort it out the problem was burning speed a big thanks to eveyone out there
