Must be cheap for a reason. Yep. anyway how do you know they work with your writer?

It says its compatible with pioneer burners.

I was just planning on using these for tv episodes mostly.

That doesn't mean anything. The issue is not so much if it is compatible with your DVD Burner as it is with your DVD Player being able to play them. Purple dye doesn't mean anything either. Princos are light purple dye and Riteks are dark purple. If they specified which one it was then we could make a better judgement but as usual they don't show the actual dye side of the disc. My suggestion is to order a trial pack because even if someone has had them work before, it doesn't mean that they will work for you (every DVD Player is different with what it reads).
