Hi all, I used to like Nero software until I tried InCD. I have tried it on 3 PC's with 3 different CD Writers and 2 were fresh installs of XP.
I can't let go tho, I have to get this working. I don't even think I need to use it.
My question is.... where can I get version 3.31 from?
If anyone has a quick fix for the problem of not being able to format with version 4.x.x.x of InCD, with XP and a Pioneer A06 DVD-r, could you please let me know.
I have done all the Ahead have suggested on their site.
Thanks

Have you tried v4.0.7.2? Seems to be the latest.
Sorry can't really help though as I don't use any packet writing software, inCD or otherwise.

Some wise words:.... InCD RULES!!!!
Anyway, have you checked compatibility with the burners? I have had some trouble with InCD because of that.
Tweaking the chipsets of the burners will most likely solve your problems.
Oh... another thing: make sure you get the correct tweaking software (exactly matching the specifications of your drives, since forcing a tweak with the wrong software may damage your drive!)
Tweaks are usually to be found at the manufacturors websites.

Tweaks?? You mean firmwares?

I have upgraded my firmware to the latest. My LG GCE-8084b is listed on the nero website, don't know about my Pioneer A06.
I have installed Roxio DirectCD now and it works. I never liked Adaptec/roxio software in the past but I like v6 so far, so long as it doesn't hog all my resources.
I still use Nero for 90% of my burning/backups.
Thanks for all your replies

Firmware is what i meant indeed.
Updating firmware may seem useless at first sight, but in these cases, it will solve most trouble.
