Hi all,

Wondering if anyone can help me, 1st I did my xbox way back I installed a xecuter II lite which came pre flashed (the good old days), Then I did another xbox with a slioghtly newer verision of Xecuter II lite (2.1) which I flashed by makeing up a disk with bios.bin and dumby file (100mb) on it I put disc in this xbox and it flashed bios automatically when I turned xbox.

Bu Now I have bought and installed an even newer version of xecuter II 2.2 Lite I think and when I boot xbox up it says something about linux bios and it is looking for linux boot.cfg on a disc.

What the hell do I do here? Any help would me much apreciated I just wanna getthis xbox up and running to play backups.

Just emailed simply mods where i got the chip from, they said

To keep themselves (team executer) away from
any legal problems they started to use the Legal Cromwell Linux Bios which
requires re-flashing by the end user after installation (or before
installation if you have the external programmer).
With the unit installed and activated, the cd tray should open and you
should see a Cromwell Screen advining to insert a update cd.
If you only have a black screen with the Xecuter 2.2 enabled, then you
should use the AV cable as supplied with the xbox console.

name it BIOS.BIN (note the CAPS LOCK)
take your dummy file whatever it is, and name it ABC.DAT (again note the caps) see if that works

when you turn the xbox on. it doesn't open the drive and ask for bios update cd?
if it's different, you got stuck with cromwell instead of the flash(bios)
www.ozxchip.com downlaod the ozxflash iso
