Looked around and it appears to be a HD prob? this is a bit vague as i've found articles that tell you what the codes relate to but go no deeper. Can anyone give me a better description and is there a fix?
Thanks for looking in

Ok... yeah, its what the screen will tell you, but for us to help you we need to know what kind of things you did to the xbox right before this error popped up. What did you change?

Solmar is correct. what did you do before you got Error-9 ?
9 - kernel - HDD parameters (PIO/DMA/or size {debug}, certain size minimum is required for debug).
Usually a bad drive (DVD-ROM or HDD) causes these errors. Check IDE cables and Power connections for either drive. Most likely the drive will need to be replaced.

Think the drive died, luckilly despite the chip being in there for a year it was large HD ready, I just popped in a spare 20 gig HD and slayered it. Business as usual now. ONLY problem I now have is that despite loading Evox and apps etc I dont think the bios/chip is set up to see them so I'm just getting the vanilla MS dash. Bit of a git but then al l was being used was the DVD player.
