i was making a U-turn and the game just crush, is that a bug or what? anyone encounter this?

It's crashed once on me too. The engine sounds of my car kept going but everything else was frozen. Since it's only happened once I assume it was a fluke.

so is it a bug in programming? not a bad burn or nuke release?

well i only use RW(rewritable) disc to test, so most of the time it take longer to load etc. i did burn True Crime to a Philips DVD+RW, where it crashed, got a white screen...but when i burn it to a dvdr it works perfect...

yep, exactly the same with me, running off hard drive, crashed a few times, about 7 intotal, but considering, ive had about 30 hours gameplay, not bad really, just randomly hangs, with engine noise "WWWIIRRRRRRRR!!!!!".............no probs, though, doesnt do it at the same point, so can carry on

my xbox couldn't read dvd+r, so i have to use dvd+rw.

mine is insomnia release, is there any problem with that release? cause i notices there are 3 groups that release that game.

I have the Riot release, and I noticed that every once in awhile it will crash (happened twice) whenever I have alot going on on the screen, like multiple things loading. It would freeze, but the sound effects are still going. I burned it at 1X on a Verbatim, so I KNOW speed, and media aren't an issue. Also of note, I also have this on PS2 and I made a 1:1 copy at 1X on a Verbatim, and it crashes sometimes on that machine too!! WTF? It doesn't happen that often, but I think maybe there might be some programming issues, since I have used the highest quality media at the lowest possible speed on BOTH consoles. Also, I have a V7 PS2 which reads all media great so far, and my Xbox has a Samsung which has read everything fantastically! It is a shame, since I really enjoy this game. I guess I should save as often as possible, hehe. I vote for programming mis-haps on this, you be the judge!

i think the developer knows that the game will crush but they can't fix it since the city is so hugh, so they just put in a autosave feature.

Sorry for jumping on thread but i have the same prob with this game on the xbox, also have a samsung drive, what a shame that game so good has a bad bug in it :(

i guess the only solution is to save often. i have true crime for ps2 and it didn't crush during the 3 hours that i played. although it was not as smooth as the xbox version.
