MAJOR PROBS
cannot get any of the following to load using
swap magic 2
all back ups on riteks
have also tried cd loader - various versions including v7 beta 5
have burnt cd loader with nero/cdrwin/dvd decrpter

cd loader is fine cos it loads up etc
do the swap methods and then
1. tony hawks hangs in the intro - black screen
2. true crime l.a - get to intro then - yellow screen and hangs
3. swat global strike - no intro - bugger all

peed off was looking forward to a satday nite in playing these
if any experts have any ideas/solutions id be very grateful

Ive got Neo 2.2 and just EA boot my swap magic DVD and it loads True Crime no problem!

I copied Tony Hawk underground and it works just fine with swap Magic and a knife trick. I get the blue border and it loads just fine. i have a V3 or 4 PS2, don't remember, and I burned on a TDK DVD+R

I just tried True Crime on a V4 Pal with no solder mod and swap magic 2.0 and loaded first time and plays great.

The more i play this game the more i like it.

I got swap magic 2 and fliptop cover, and I got tony hawk underground and truecrime to work perfectly, For others, I got nija turtles castlevania, and simpsons hit and run to work perfectly too... For simpsons, my first burn I did didnt work, but I just reburned it and it worked fine...

I did get Simpsons Hit & Run to work with my no solder mochip and Swap Magic 2. I've tried Tony Hawk Underground a few times and failed to get it working good. One took a very long time to load, some didn't work at all. Could someone please help me out? I would like to know what program to use and anything else i need to get this to work 100%. Thanks.

swap magic 2 loads Tony Hawks Underground and True Crimes without the need 4 cdloader.

Use good quality ritek disks G.03 or G.04 will do burn at max 2x use recordnow max to burn.

will swap magic boot true crime on a ver 7 ps2? Because i tried to boot it with swap magic and cd loader on a ver 7 ps2 and i couldn't get past the title screen

sounds like it might be bad media but the cdloader doesnt work for a version 7

yes it does, now there is a cdloader beta 3 for v7 users only, it's over at OWNZ

I got a v7 and still can't get the multiple elf games to load..
is swap magic 3 the only fix ??

True Crime boots with CDloader Beta 5 in V2 mode, check PS2ownz for info.

I have the HP DVD Writer 200j (only supports dvd+r) and it has proven itself to be unrealiable, when burning PS2 games. I am thinking of geting a dvd+/-r or just dvd-r burner. I want to know some good ones. I was thinking of geting the Pioneer DVR A06. Could i get some help on this please. Thanks.

bottom line is - most people are very pleased with the A06 - good price, awesome reliability and compatibility with media - haven't burned a coaster yet and I do a ton of stuff while burning. Originally had an optorite dd2003 (hi-val / digital media); it closed the dvds in a funny way that wouldn't play on my standalone dvd, also coasted discs from time to time. So I took it back and got a pioneer.

Check around, a lot of people feel pretty strongly about their burners - do some research to see what's best for you.

chaos legion
true crime...
to boot up. chaos legion gets to start game screen then stops. the others
don't get past the ar2 screen,
i know about toc sizes and have the biggest and the games load on a messiah 2 no problems

This being discussed in a lot of places here. Currently, haven't seen an answer for guys like us (i have a v1 neo2.2 gs/dmc swap) those games act like they're gonna boot and then hang on a black screen.

I believe Cdloader would help with these games but I haven't been able to get it to work with my setup.

I'm waiting for my swap magic discs in the mail to see if it makes a difference.
