jay - c Nov 08, 2003, 06:57 PM it would be nice since i don't find any ritekhere in portugal jesterrace777 Nov 08, 2003, 07:52 PM No, they are not the same disc. From what most people have said though they are much better than Princo but not quite Ritek. In otherwords you should be fine with them. geobon Nov 08, 2003, 08:09 PM Primedisc make both 4.7gb & 9.4gb (Double Sided) DVDRs the double sided discs are defo ritek dont know about the 4.7gb discs though but after a quick browse at google it seems to suggest they are ritek, Your best bet is to buy just a few and try them and also run them through ADVDinfo and that'll tell for sure if their ritek. The problem is with brands like this they dont always stick to one type of dye, Thought you could buy traxdata dvdrs in portugal though and their ritek. jesterrace777 Nov 08, 2003, 10:56 PM I'm going off of what DR69On said. He ordered a few and said that they were not Ritek. celtic_druid Nov 09, 2003, 04:45 AM Moving this to the media forum. jay - c Nov 09, 2003, 07:39 AM tks for the help , didn't know traxdata were ritek, that's good news. also sorry if i posted in the wrong forum .) tks for the help j celtic_druid Nov 09, 2003, 08:17 AM That's ok, this forum has only existed for like two days or so. willng88 Nov 10, 2003, 10:24 AM what is ritek, is datasafe the same, which are the best to use as quite new to this I know there are datawrites as well and the different colours but does it make a difference cheers ska69face Nov 11, 2003, 02:30 AM meritline says its comparable to riteks........maybe i'll try it. jesterrace777 Nov 14, 2003, 09:48 PM Originally posted by willng88 what is ritek, is datasafe the same, which are the best to use as quite new to this I know there are datawrites as well and the different colours but does it make a difference cheers Absolutely. Datawrites and Bulqpaqs should be avoided like the plague. Even thier so called "riteks" are B grade quality or are cheap overprints. Datasafe seem to be better. However I would definitely recommend the Traxdata over any of them if you have that option as they come direct from Ritek themselves. bigbright Nov 17, 2003, 11:05 AM prime and primedisc are two different disks. the prime discs are the ones DR69On was talking about. the primediscs are riteks according to the media table at dvdrhelp.com. on a second note i have used the prime 4x discs and they burned consistently at 4x and they are darker than princo but not as dark as ritek. jesterrace777 Nov 17, 2003, 05:13 PM Oh okay. Sorry about the confusion there folks. :D |
