noens Nov 09, 2003, 12:59 PM I have got my a DVD burner and now I have downloaded a DVD ISO fil, but wenn I have tried to burner it, it does not work on the PS2. It just scan the DVD and then get to the browser. What do I do wrong? I have burn it with Nero 6.0.0.19 in mode 1, mode 2 and the 2. mode 2.
kyle5077 Nov 09, 2003, 01:09 PM What chip are you using? What media is it on?
Give a lil more info
noens Nov 09, 2003, 01:21 PM I got a DMS3 chip and then I burn DVD-rips i work fine. I have tried to burn on -r and +r. My PS2 is a ver. 5
jesterrace777 Nov 09, 2003, 04:10 PM It could be a bad file. Also which type of media are you using (brand)?
TL0 Nov 09, 2003, 06:06 PM Are you trying to burn the ISO as a data file?
Cuz Nero automatically does the settings for you when you choose "burn image" from the menu options.
noens Nov 10, 2003, 02:48 PM I have just got some new media (Bulkpaq), now the PS2 say's that I have to insert a ps2 disc. I have burned it with nero 6 and just picked "burn image" and burn.
noens Nov 10, 2003, 03:34 PM Now I have tried with Sonic Recordnow in mode 1, 2 and 2 DDCD, but they all just go to "insert a PS2 disc". I hate red display :)
TL0 Nov 10, 2003, 05:41 PM Try changing the blank media your using, find some Ritek or Verbatim -R discs to try as bulkpaq aren't great discs.
handyguy Nov 10, 2003, 06:01 PM I forgot what the boot procedure is for your chip for films though. I don't think its the same for games.
noens Nov 11, 2003, 09:33 AM As you can see I have tried four ways to burn the disc, can anyone tell me with one there is the right one?
noens Nov 13, 2003, 09:24 AM I have found the solution for the problem, the disc. I have just purchase some verbatim and now it works. Anyone now there I can buy them cheap i europa???
crazydoria Feb 07, 2004, 02:24 PM I have made an iso image of Sonic. I have a magic 3.5 on a V7 ps2. I have the new dummi_bin file. I tried copying the game in my hard drive then replace it. Is there a program I can use to go into the iso image and replace it like that?

Not sure but do you have Riteks available there? (not the ones with the Bulqpaq or Datawrite labels as they use B Grade quality dyes). Verbatims generally use the Ritek or Taiyo Yuden dyes on thier discs (if you look at the Manufacterer's ID in DVD Decrypter and several other programs it will tell you which dye is on your disc) so you could get the media cheaper by just ordering Ritek DVD-R straight from the source. Unbranded Ritek/Ridata or Traxdata would be the 3 that I recommend. ;)
