Is there any programs out there to make you own windows XP Logon Screen? If not does anyone know how to do it manually?

Many Thanks :)

How about something like this (http://utility.downloadatoz.com/changer-xp/). Google throws up other possibilities (http://www.google.com.au/search?hl=en&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&q=personalise+xp+boot+screen&meta=).

Great link konni3x  - I'd never bothered with this kind of frilly stuff before but I think i might just go for it, i think a BSOD screesaver might be fun to covertly introduce to some of the machines at work ...

San, something is not right here..you trying to say your work PCs does not go into the BSOD screensaver by itself ? ;)

But from personal experience, I always tried to avoid using 'add-ons' under Windows as the 'extra' layer of code on top of a already loaded system can sometime causes problems.

Themexp.orh os byefar the best place to get boot/logon screens and wallpapers. Just letting you know! If you change your bootscreen make sure the version of the screen says it supports SP1 (or non SP1 if its not installed) because if u copy an unsupported ntoskrnl when windows boots itll crash and you'll have to go through the *** recovery console and recopy the file from the XP cd to the harddrive.

BTW: Can anyone tell im speaking from a 1st hand experience ;)

Good point, perhaps a picture of a working desktop might fox them more
