i dont no why its doing all of a sudden but its happening is my writer no good its a plex24/10/40

any help much appricated

first thing is always ask yourself if anything has changed, and in general with a "power calibration error" it's either a media or lens issue in general.

therefore have you changed media possibly?
try cleaning the lense.

last resort upgrade Nero to latest version.

TierraDelFuego could you elaborated on how to fix this problem as I am getting the same error message, also none of my burning works for files close to the max of the cd 600mb and larger. no matter what software I use.

@Geoff222,

either try changing media or clean the lense on the cdrw drive.

you could also see if there is a firmware update from your cdrw manufacturer.

done the above and still getting the power calbration error :(

maybe try other software, but chances are the drives gone to PC heaven I'm afraid. still at least now you only need to shell out £30 or less for a new 52x burner.

yeah i think it has it burns 1 cdr then when i try 2 do the next 1 i get the error i think its screaming..lol
