an iso file is an image file, so will contain an assortment of files, and is basically an image of a cd or dvd.

you can do two things with an iso....

either burn it to cd using Nero, cdrWin or similar burning software that supports ISO files (for Nero go to File/Burn Image and point it to the ISO file).

or open, edit or extract it using software such as WinISO.
