hey, im looking for a pc for no more than £999 MAX - looked at dell,time,mesh etc.... can anyone recommend a good site? i just need the base - and have a external dvd-rw already....

also when im looking a specs - whats the best graphic card at the moment (in your opinon) ?

best graphic card is probably the ati 9800 pro xt. If you just need a box, if your handy enough build one yourself. That way you get what you want.

Case = $40
AMD Athlon 64 = $520 or P4 2.8 = $275
120Gig HD = $85
512mb Ram = $90

or dell is probably your best bet if your not into building one. Just trying to give you a different perspective.

I'd agree about the graphics card and about trying to build the PC yourself ... or having it custom built for you.

There honestly aren't any good bulk PC manufacturers out there IMHO. The 3 major ones here in the US (Dell, HP and Gateway), have all been given slaps on the wrist for using recycled parts and from a TON of eprsonal experience working on Dells (I'm a PC hardware tech), I think they're the biggest pieces of garbage ever designed ... but that's just in my humble opinion. :D
