4.7gig converts to 4813 megabytes right?

So how come nero burning rom lists the maximum capacity of a dvd-r (in iso mode) as 4500mb?

Should I adjust the maximum (redline) value to 4813mb?

Why does nero say the maximum capacity of my 4.7gb dvd-r is only 4500mb?

DVDR Blank Disc Capacity : [2.298.496 Sectors - 4.489MB - 4,38GB]

??? I dont get it...

It's the whole conversion thing. I don't remember the specifics but I do know that 4.7GB DVDRs actually equal the 4.38GB that Nero specified.

4.7 is in metric gigs. i.e. 4.7x10^9 where as PC's measure GB's in binary.

4.7x10^9/2^30=4.377GB's.
