The drive seems to work great, but I also got dvd x copy and for some reason I can't play any of the copys I make. It goes through the process like everything is working fine then when it is done my dvd player or even my dvd rom will read it. Anyone know what is wrong, pleas help

Okay what media are you using? Also some players won't read discs done with X COPY. Do you have a full version of Nero or Recordnow Max/DX? If so then try DVD Shrink as it is a solid program that is legal freeware. www.dvdshrink.org. Also if you have DVDs that will already fit onto a single disc (fits on the 4.7GB DVDR already) then you can use DVD Decrypter www.dvddecrypter.com and read the original in ISO mode to the HD and then write it back in ISO mode to the DVDR. This will at least let you know if it is a software issue.
