I am trying to convert some files to dvd, and would like to demux the AC3 audio from the file, but alwyas get this error trying to open it up with Virtualdub:

Couldn't Locate decompressor for "XVID" (unknow)

VirtualDub requires a Video for Windows (VFW) compatible codec to decompress video. DirectShow Codecs, such as those used by Windows Media Player, are not suitable.

Any ideas on how to get this to work? Really want to keep the AC3 audio track intact.

Thanks in advance.

Simply install a VFW XviD decoder like the message tells you. I would suggest Koepi's latest unstable build.

Could also try using VirtualDubMod as it should open it even if the video isn't supported. It will just lock the video to directstreaming.

If you are planning on converting it though you really should have the XviD codec installed.
