i got myself one the other week and have had a few problems with burning dvdr.

firstly i have one cdrw dirve one dvdrom drive and a dvd writer. see spec below.

if i am copying on the fly using discjuggler should i still be able to use my cdrw drive to do anything?

if i use my computer to go on the net, even opening up explorer seems to lock up both dvd drives and the only way to get them to eject is if you restart the pc. The annoying thing is if i dont touch the pc while it is copying it works everytime its only when you use it for something else that you have problems copying discs.

This isn't unusual.

Most folk, unless they have really powerful setups, will leave the PC alone, whilst burning ... I usually do.

I have known situations, where a virus checker has kicked in and this has caused a bad burn.

Yup, they certainly don'r recommend multi-tasking while doing DVD Burning. Some can get away with it but a number of people can't.

cheers for that guys. i was under the impression that burning a dvd wouldnt use up anymore of the pcs resources than buring a cdr. how wrong was i. one good thing out of this is at least i set it up correctly in the first place.
