I'm shopping for a new video card and have decided I want an ATI Radeon, problem is I can't decide which to get on my budget....I'm trying to stay around $200 or less, preferably around $150....I have seen the 9600 pro for about $135 if I get another companies card that uses ATI's chipset...Is there a difference in a name brand from ATI and one from another company? Would a regular 9800 be better then a 9600 pro...Would a 9800 be better then a 9600XT, the new one that just came out? Anyone recommend a good website to get the card from? I also want to know would hte 9800SE be better then the 9600pro?

9800 is better then a 9600 pro pro or not.
9800 XT is better then a regular/pro.

I don't think there is any difference between an ATI or one made by a 3rd party developer. Sometimes they are better cuz they tweak em a bit.

You said you wanted stay around $200, then get the radeon 9700, its better than 9800 and 9600. I believe you can also flash the bios in those cards a make them pros, plus overclocking them too, if thats your cup of tea.

Thanks Mr. Snatcher but if I do go with a 9600 its got to be a pro or an xt....Basically I've narrowed it down to 9600 pro, 9600xt, 9800se, or 9800, is there a clear cut one out of these 4 that is better?

Alright I've pretty much eliminated the 9600xt, the 9700's still sell for over $300 so thats not an option....I guess I'm down to asking is the 9800se better then the 9600pro?
