I will try setting up winamp like you say.
It may get rid of the headache of switching applications to media player and back again.
I have a 'proper' mixing desk, so fading from cd to karaoke/pc song is ok, but I will try double-click deejaying from song to song !!
Oh, one thing.....I hate messing around with the p.c the day before a gig.....
