I've had a domain name registered there for the past two years. A reseller, of course, so it's my own fault, I suppose. The expiration date was approximately last week. I was quite busy and didn't receive a mail from them, so I assumed that they charged my credit card, since they have the details on file. I didn't discover the problem until yesterday when I could no longer send or receive mail. Since a couple of my family members had some personal events occur, I set them up some E-mail addresses. This was financial, billing, ect. Since they can't forward anything, they are basically screwed. I tried to explain that I will try to sort it out ASAP, and contacted the arseholes and asked if this could be rectified or how long they'd hold the domain name since I'd really like to tell these #&$% to get off and I'd go elsewhere. I'm still waiting to hear from them tomorrow. I'll let you know how I get on.

its a bit like when microsoft forgot to re-registure hotmail.co.uk

http://www.theregister.co.uk/content/6/33814.html

You can just see the task list for a hotmail admin cant you

1) make a cup of tea
2) send some spam
3) send another annoying hotmail newsletter
4) delete some accounts
5) Make the free account link a little bit smaller on the sign up page
6) forget to renew hotmail.co.uk and see what happens

That sucks man you should go to the highest person in the company you can find and demand a discount on future services or you walk.
