Lo all

does anyone know of a good free email provider that supports pop3

Yep Dave, Yahoo.co.uk

All you do is sign up to a free newsletter and they will give you free pop3 access to your web based email a/c.

Never have a problem with them myself.

yeah its strange yahoo.com requires payment but yahoo.co.uk doesn't

the incoming and outgoing server addresses (if i'm allowed to post them here mods) are:
pop.mail.yahoo.co.uk
smtp.yahoo.co.uk (but generally you will have to switch your outgoing smtp server to the whatever your isp's outgoing server is)

Just to add that I don't seem to get any spam at all either, in fact I've not even had their newsletter I had to sign up for to get the pop 3 access. :)

yahoo.com doesnt require payment, I get free email there, a few megs worth, great spam control.
