I have a optorite dvd writer and use Bulkpaq orange dvd's to write with but my m8 told me that since these discs use the princo dye they will not last very long so he told me to use ritek discs.
can anyone reccomend good cheap ritek discs to use...
Cheers

All riteks are cheap. especially the 1x write. The is no sense in not buying them since they are just as cheap as princo's.

Steer Clear of any so-called "Ritek" discs with the Bulqpaq/Datawrite labels on them as they are B-Grade quality. The three brands I would recommend for the UK are: 1. Unbranded Ritek 2. Ridata (same as the unbranded 3. Traxdata. All 3 are grade A Riteks and use the exact same dye.

Speaking of RITEK dye discs.
Are the RITEK G04 Dye disks reliable burnt X4.
By this I mean a full disk, say 4.32 Gb.
I have been burning G03s at X2 speed full disks with no problems at all and I was thinking of paying the extra for X4s. But will they be as reliable ??
Any comments please.

Yup, a number of us burn at 4x without a hitch on the 4x G04s. They are good right up to the bitter end of the disc. I have burned a number of movies after using the latest version of DVD Shrink (version 3.0 beta 5) and it uses all but 23 Megs of space on the disc and I have yet to have a problem.
