iam trying to connect xbox and pc on cable modem

Pc is on usb, xbox on rj45.
i got the info from xbox site but where its says open Internet Connection Sharing i dont have that option.

Help file in windows Xp home states below

Note:
Internet Connection Sharing, Internet Connection Firewall, Discovery and Control, and Network Bridge are not available on Windows XP 64-Bit Edition.

This does not make sence as i have the option "Internet Connection Firewall".

How do i find out what bit my XP is.

I only have 2 months free trail on xbox live, so i dont want to buy NIC cards or routers.

Cheers

Yeah you kinda need a network card to network your Xbox with your PC.

blueyonder web site say that if you have usb to your pc, you can use the NIC output on the cable modem without any other hardware, to run both together by loggong new mac address with blueyonder.

If anyone can look at site and see if iam missing please let me know.

Ah, in that case you don't need internet connection sharing. Just whack the end of the crossover comming from the Xbox into the modem, leaving the USB connected to your PC. You may need to manually feed some settings into the Xbox, but it should ask you for anything it can't figure out.
