I am very new to this XBOX thing and have been having a lot of probs with the newer games. eg. Prince of Persia, Medal of Honor, T3 to name a few, just out of curiosity ( and to save on coasters) burnt to DvD-RW and they all work fine. Dont know why but Misses had the theory when burning DvD-RW the disc isn`t closed not like normal DvD-R.
Sounds stupid but all I know is the games now work. Try it.

burning to DVD-R and DVD-RW is the same. your DVD-R maybe cheap branded or something, thats why your getting dirty disc error. Also some xboxs can't read RW discs properly.

Redwolf, that wouldn`t explain why the games wouldn`t work from harddrive when ftpd from computer. Looked for info on forum and alot of people seem to be having similar prob. Someone even suggested something to do with PAL/NTSC. I`m just stating I have now got games to work as it might help others.

the xbox has a media check protection on it, that detects if the game is an original, u need to patch the game with craxtion3.1 (do a google search), it wil patch the relavant xbe files so games will work on any media. hence you wont get the dirty disk message.

always patch all games with craxion3.1 just to make sure, cos no all games need patching.

If you need to patch a game and you aren't making a multi disc game what would you use? Thanks

kevin44 craxion is NOT just for multi-disc games tools. lol.

Oper craxion (latest version 3.1) on the menu click tools the click ISO/XBE patcher or F2 button. then choose your ISO or the XBE file you want to patch.
