has anyone else had troubles with this game ??

it loads to the counterstrike logo screen then i hear some music , probobly the intro , but theres no picture !
if i hit start to skip it nothing happens :(

ive got an xtender 1.1 , tried bootin it with pbl but still the same, anyone got any ideas ??

hi m8 not having any problems with my backup version
could be something to do with bad media disk.

have you tried recording onto a dvdrw first so you dont knacker the disk up

what recording software are u using
and have you tried burning a diffrent game to make sure
its not your recording software screwed up :(

got it in a trade
copied it to the hard drive, stil didnt work :(

ill sort another copy off the guy i got it from !

If your xbox is pal? then try changing it to ntsc with the videomode selector.

you need a tv that support NTSC too my babe, don't go around and changing video mode that your tv isn't support :)s...

yeah tried all that , tv supports ntsc , doesnt look like thats the prob.

got troubles also with counterstrike with black screen, will not load on xboxes with latest bios on executer 2, including the original but plays fine in xbox with enigma chip.

I had some trouble with that game as well. When loading into a "mission" it would just hang. I fixed it by deleting all the files in my xbox E:\Cache directory and turning IGR off in evolution x. It works fine now. To fix 90% of game freezes and lock ups go to http://forums.xbox-scene.com/index.php?act=ST&f=11&t=134146& . I hope this helps.

Works for me with an Xios chip. Maybe you need to download a better release.

my installer has tried several methods of trying to install counterstrike on the new xboxes, this is the retail version PAL and back-up , neither will play correctly pass the first scene, screen goes black but music can be heard. he has swapped chip and hard drive into an older xbox and it works.His conclusion is it is a hardware related problem with the new xbox, and the only difference which he has found out so far is that the graphics card in all the new xboxes which dont play c-s is fitted onto the board differently., lets hope a bios update will solve this problem.

that load xbox games onto there hard drive

could be something stopping the game loading up and its crashing :(
no problems with my version but running it of the final version of enigmah :)

no, its not just from the hard drive, it will not play the original disc either.

yeah hes right doesnt work either way , my xbox is a v1 with a xtender 1.1 in it just so ya know.

could a dashboard update fix it maybe ? i put the latest evox in , no difference :(

it couldnt logically be combating piracey , if they plan on doing this to more games the xbox will just die a horrible death !!!

SOLUTION FOUND !!

All you need to do if you have evox installed is go to msdashboard and go to the settings tab and then langauge tab and set it to english then reset the console and the game will boot fine.
