haz2k Nov 27, 2003, 02:28 PM hi thanks for looking in
got the dance dance revolution for x box
can you buy a dance mat for xbox i asked in a shop today they said dance mats were only for playstations
Frostbite Nov 27, 2003, 03:15 PM I think your best bet is to by a DDR mat for PS2 and then go on Ebay or lik-sang.com and get a PS2 to Xbox controller adapter. I have a big metal arcade dance pad for my PS DDR games and I just bought Ultra Mix for Xbox and I ordered that converter and once it gets in I'll tell you how it works. But you never know, maybe they will now ship out DDR pads for Xbox, who knows. But, if you dont want to wait and see, you can always do it this way.
haz2k Nov 28, 2003, 09:31 AM thanks for reply m8
let me know how the converter goes
cheers
xcessive Nov 28, 2003, 10:32 AM they are xbox dance mat i know you can get it if you buy the ddr game bundle, not sure if they sell it seperately
Frostbite Dec 09, 2003, 08:05 PM ok, I got an update on the PS2 to Xbox Converter for dance mats. THEY DONT WORK.. Already tried 2 of them. Sure, they work for controllers but when i use my metal pad, soft pad, or madcat soft pad, they all heed the same result: button repsonse delay, I can't hit any of the notes correctly since when i push there is a delay. The converter I bought was that Xbox Joy converter they all have selling on Ebay. Anybody having any success?
jediross Dec 10, 2003, 05:37 AM xbox dance mats for sale here (http://www.whitedog.co.uk/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=407)
bit pricey though
Frostbite Dec 10, 2003, 11:32 PM Nice pad but yeah, too pricy.
I bought a metal arcade pad for nearly $200 and have 3 other soft pads for PS2 so I wouldn't go out and just buy another pad, I think im stocked up enough.
I'm wondering if anybody is having any success with a PS2 to Xbox controller adapter for the PS2 dance pads because it's killing me having Ultra Mix sit around. Is there another converter besides the Xbox Joy Box converter? Is there an alternative way? The world may never know....
Devil-Man Dec 11, 2003, 12:00 AM i saw one at eb games today for xbox.. didn't bother with the price but i know they're there
handyguy Dec 11, 2003, 10:22 AM Yeah the one at ebgames instore is xbox/ps2 compatible.
ShedaoShai Dec 12, 2003, 01:51 PM i got one from ebay total control one with a switch on the side that says pad or wheel (don't see any on ebay right now)
it works with stepmania on the xbox
I don't have ultramix so can't tell you that but i think the game checks if the pad is a xbox one or not
go here to read about it
http://forums.xbox-scene.com/index.php?act=ST&f=48&t=132690&
not much help but might give you and answer I get ultramix sometime and come back and tell you if it works with my converter
handyguy Dec 12, 2003, 06:41 PM PS2 has a nice one, Metal Dance Platform Deluxe with Rail, $109.00
http://www.lik-sang.com/ has all sorts of neat stuff.
Frostbite Dec 14, 2003, 03:54 PM ShedaoShai,
it works with stepmania on the xbox
How did you get Stepmania on Xbox?
Devil-Man,
Took your advice and went to EB games and purchased the converter. I'm trying it out later today and I hope this one works correctly!
Frostbite Dec 19, 2003, 08:31 AM Hey, don't recall the name of it, but the black converter that converts a PS2 controller to the Xbox or Gamecube that you can buy at EB games works like a charm on all my dance pads. Thanks guys.
ShedaoShai Dec 21, 2003, 03:19 PM Xport ported Stepmania over to the xbox
go to xbox-scene and search in the emulator section of the forum
ShedaoShai Dec 28, 2003, 08:17 PM Got ultra mix now my pad and converter work no problems
I don't have xbox live but I think that’s when the xbox checks the pad so you don't use a controller and pose like you’re a DDR master using your fingers.
Marlfox_00 Mar 24, 2004, 04:23 PM If you go DDR section at redoctane.com they have some working adapters and pads for the xbox. http://www.redoctane.com/ddr.html
hope this helps :round:
