Hi, peoples

Sup those who know me and hi to all those that dont.

I seem to have the most peculair problem with the dvdrs i get. I get them from a friend and he does a great job but i think my ps2 is acting weird. A while ago he burnt me 3 games on prinocs and my ps2 would hate them so he reburned on riteks and they seem to be doing fine except they would sometimes randomly freeze and with MGS 2 it would have problems reading the disk (i would get a Question Mark and a CD imagei n the top corner).

I didn;t have the heart to tell him because he already reburned them. So i just went along with it, but a while back i ran into another guy who burned me enter the matrix on a princo, everything the same but with no lable and the game works 100 percent without problems.

So i dont know wuts the problem, is it the media, or is it the lazer; keep in mind that my cdrs play fine on them, never frozen they work fine.

I just want to know what could be the problem and what is the best media to use that the ps2 has virtually no conflicts with. (apple ? verbs ) ???

Thnx

Apple and Taiyo Yuden are considered to be the best of the best with Ritek not far behind. However Riteks are about 1/3 the price of Apples and about 1/2 the price of Taiyo Yuden. Did your friend D/L them? Also what software was he using to burn them and what burner? Also which modchip/swap method are you using.

Actually, I was known by a different name way back when. ;) It could be the Magic 3 chip that you are using but I wouldn't rule out the possibility of a bad D/L file either. Does he have a modded PS2? If so, how do they work on his?

i know this might sound strange but some ps2s will not work with discs that have labels! mine wont. it dont matter what software, disc type or burner used. if there is a label on the disc, it wont work! if that ain't the most fu€ked up thing ever, what is? :)

It doesn't sound strange at all, there are quite a few problems reported with those who have labels on thier discs. Not sure if xiontex has his discs labeled though.
