Just 2 questions about it, what are the advantages of using this mode and under the settings for this mode which of the 4 boxes should be ticked

The advantages of using DVD Decrypter in this mode are simple: You only have to use DVD Decrypter to read and write your disc. Simply select ISO mode from the mode options and select read, read the original disc in ISO mode to the HD and then select the ISO file and Select ISO from the mode option again but this time select write and it will write the ISO file back to the DVD-R. Keep in mind the disc will already have to fit on a DVD-R.

Forget them .... default settings will work fine.

Yup default settings haven't failed me yet for movies, games, ect.
